Start with strong openers
CRANE, SLATE, AUDIO, and RAISE cover the most common letters. A good opener eliminates the most possibilities in one guess.
Prioritize vowels early
Every Wordle answer has at least one vowel. Identifying A, E, I, O, or U early narrows down possibilities dramatically.
Don't repeat gray letters
Gray tiles mean that letter isn't in the answer at all. Use each new guess to test fresh letters rather than re-using eliminated ones.
Yellow = right letter, wrong spot
Move a yellow letter to a different position in your next guess. Never place it in the same position twice.
Watch for double letters
Some answers contain repeated letters (e.g. VIVID, ALLAY). If you've placed all unique letters but still can't solve it, consider a letter appearing twice.
Common 5-letter endings
Many answers end in -ER, -LY, -ED, or -ING. If you've identified some letters, think about common endings that complete the pattern.
