Words With Friends tile values and bag counts
104 tiles in the bag, 2 of them blank. Vowels dominate the top of the list, which is why WWF racks feel smoother than Scrabble racks and why dumping consonants is rarely urgent.
Five tiles carry the game: J, Q and Z at 10 points, X at 8, K and V at 5. Each of J, Q, X and Z appears exactly once, so once one is played it is gone for good.
Where WWF scoring differs from Scrabble
If you switch between the two games, these are the tiles that will mislead you. Everything not listed scores the same in both.

The practical upshot: a WWF word built on B, C, M or P is worth more than the same word on a Scrabble board, while H and Y words are worth less. The 7-tile bonus is also smaller at 35 points, so chasing one is less profitable than chasing a bonus square.
Getting more out of a WWF rack
With only a 35-point bonus for seven tiles, a four-letter word with a 4-point tile on a triple letter square often beats the long play outright.
Thirteen E tiles and 8 each of I and O mean vowel-heavy racks are normal. Do not burn a turn swapping unless you have four or more.
L, N, U and D all cost 2 in WWF. Stringing them together quietly builds a decent score where Scrabble would give you almost nothing.
Laying a word alongside an existing one scores every new cross-word it forms. Use the board gap box to find pieces that fit tight spaces.
How this finder works
A word is playable when every letter it needs comes out of the tiles you hold, duplicates counted, and each ? stands in for exactly one letter you are missing. Results are grouped by length, longest group first, and sorted inside each group by WWF score.
The whole search runs in your browser against a length-sharded word list, so your rack never leaves the page. Point badges are base word values only, before any double or triple squares and before the 35-point bonus.

Are Words With Friends letter values the same as Scrabble?
No, and the gap decides plays. WWF charges more for B, C, M and P (4 points each), for G (3), for J (10), and for the everyday L, N and U (2 points instead of 1). It charges less for H and Y, both 3 points. Q and Z stay at 10 and X stays at 8 in both games.
How many tiles are in a Words With Friends game?
The WWF bag holds 104 tiles, four more than a Scrabble set, including 2 blanks. It is vowel-heavy at the top (13 E tiles, 9 A, 8 I, 8 O) and generous with T and S, which is part of why long words turn up more often than they do on a board.
What is the bonus for using all seven tiles?
Playing all seven tiles in one turn earns a 35-point bonus in Words With Friends, rather than the 50 points Scrabble awards. Filter to seven letters after entering your rack to check whether one is available.
Will every word here be accepted in the app?
Usually, but not always. Our list is a broad 277,000-word English dictionary; the WWF app runs its own word list, which accepts some informal words other games reject and drops a few obscure ones. Where they disagree, the app dictionary is the final authority.
Can I search for a word that fits a gap on the board?
Yes. Type the letters you can already see into the pattern box and use _ for each empty square, such as C _ _ S E. The starts and ends boxes handle hooks where you only know one edge of the word.
